now i'm confused...
Heathcliff comes to the brooding mansion of Wuthering Heighths as an orphan child. Cathy is the daughter of the wealthy family that takes him in. They are drawn together from the moment they meet, their love consuming, destructive, and full of desire. They cannot be together, and yet they cannot stay apart. The consequences will haunt generations. This is the chilling story of two people who experience love and all its intense complications. It is a story readers will never forget.
..that is the actual blurb on the back of the novel.
and that is true to what i have heard about the novel, but have you read it? i am just confused, i thought the story was going to be about catherine and heathcliff..well..she dies before the book is half done. afterwords it becomes more about catherines daughter..'catherine' falling in love with heathcliff's son..'heathcliff' and then right at the end heathcliff dies, and he is with catherines ghost, and miss catherine after being widowed by master heathcliff marries her other cousin. what the fuck?
yes..it is a love story but it hardly is about catherine earnshaw and the orphan child heathcliff. it was good though, just not what i had expected. it was a slow read it took me about a week and a half to finish.
now reading lolita. which i am already 1/4 finished.
